1. Hi Lorie, can you introduce yourself briefly?
Hi! I’m originally from the land of waffles and fries 🧇🍟. I moved to London in 2016 for work, and then later to the Netherlands, where I’ve been living for the past five years. I’ve been working as a Community Manager and Email Marketer at Jedlix for 2.5 years now.
2. What does a typical day look like for you at Jedlix?
It really depends on the day's priorities. Email marketing is a much broader field than it might first appear. I work on everything from setting up transactional emails to managing our blog posts and other communications. It’s always varied, so I never get bored!
3. Why did you choose to join Jedlix, and how does it align with your values?
In marketing, you're often on the frontlines of promoting a product. For me, it was important to use my skills in a way that could contribute to something positive. In a world where overconsumption is common, I wanted to help raise awareness for an app that can make a real difference and help people, especially in these challenging times.
4. Fun fact about you and your time at Jedlix?
When I started at Jedlix, I didn’t have a driver’s license 🙈. Driving had always been something I was afraid of, but starting this job was the push I needed to finally get behind the wheel!
5. What do you like most about working at Jedlix? What are you proud of?
I love the variety in my role, but honestly, it’s the people that make working at Jedlix so enjoyable. Everyone here is passionate, smart, hardworking, and always willing to help. I’m really proud of the progress we’ve made in email marketing, particularly in improving the user onboarding experience and helping our clients communicate clearly with their users.
