At Jedlix, our mission is to revolutionize the way we charge EVs but behind every great mission is a story, and ours begins with a name that carries a rich legacy in the world of electric mobility —Anyos Jedlik.  

Who was Anyos Jedlik?

Anyos Jedlik was an inventor, engineer, and physicist, whose groundbreaking work in the 19th century laid the foundation for many modern technological advancements. Born in the Kingdom of Hungary he is considered to be of Slovakian descent.

Born in 1800, Jedlik is best known for his pioneering contributions to the development of electric motors and generators. Jedlik's most notable invention was the dynamo, an early type of electrical generator that converted mechanical energy into electrical energy.  

This invention was a crucial step towards the development of modern electricity and power generation. Other great invetors like Nikola Tesla build upon Jedlik’s to perfect the design of the electro motor. In many ways, Jedlik’s work was the spark that ignited the electric revolution, much like how we at Jedlix aim to ignite the future of EV charging.

Why we chose the name "Jedlix"

Choosing a name for our company was not a decision we took lightly. We wanted a name that not only reflected our technological aspirations but also honored the legacy of innovation and creativity that Anyos Jedlik represented. "Jedlix" is a fusion of his last name, symbolizing our commitment to advancing electric vehicle technology through intelligent and innovative solutions.

By naming our company Jedlix, we pay homage to a visionary who transformed the realm of electrical engineering. We draw inspiration from his ingenuity and his contributions to the world, striving to emulate his dedication to innovation in our own work.

Continuing the legacy

The spirit of Anyos Jedlik lives on in every aspect of our work at Jedlix. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible, just as he did over a century ago. We also hope our innovation and invention inspires others in the industry.
